Pension Pillar II funds – up by 24.18% yoy

The private mandatory pension funds had assets worth over RON 53.41 billion on May 31, 2019, up by 24.18% against the same month of the previous year, according to the data provided by the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF).

The state securities hold the largest share in the assets, RON 31.58 billion, i.e. 59.14%. On the second place, the shares are worth RON 10.279 billion (19.25%). Corporate bonds rank third in this respect, with RON 4.1 billion and 7.68% of total assets.

According to ASF figures, the value of the total pension fund assets in Pension Pillar II was RON 53,411 billion on March 31, 2019 and the net asset value was RON 53.4 billion.

The private mandatory pension funds had 7,329 million participants. According to the ASF data, contributions from 7.199 million participants have been registered since the start of the collection by the system.

In March 2019, contributions were made by 3.919 million participants, and 3,390 million paid no contributions.

The following pension funds are active on Pillar II: Metropolitan Life Pensii, Aripi, AZT Viitorul tău, BCR, BRD, NN and Vital.
