The turnover of retail trade increased in the first five months of this year by 18.4% as gross series and by 16.8% as adjusted series against the same period in 2015, due to increased sales of food, drinks and tobacco, and sales of non-food and fuel, according to the data released on Tuesday by the National Statistics Institute (INS).
As adjusted series, the turnover of retail trade registered during the mentioned period increased by 16.8% due to increased sales of food, beverages and tobacco (+ 25.8%), sales of non-food products ( + 14.8%) and retail trade of automotive fuel in specialized stores (+9.1%).
