Romania will grant Republic of Moldova EUR 50 million, representing the second tranche of the loan, after granting the first tranche of EUR 60 million on August 24, 2016. The loan is agreed based on the ‘Agreement on reimbursable financial assistance between Romania and the Republic Moldova’ ratified by Law no. 91/2016, reads a release from the Ministry of Finance.
In January 2017, the Moldovan Ministry of Finance submitted to the Romanian Ministry of Public Finance an official letter requesting the change of date for the release of the second tranche worth EUR 50 million from March 31, 2016 to February 27, 2017.
