Romania will receive a new loan from the World Bank worth EUR 500 million to elaborate the development policies, the Ministry of Finance has announced.
“The Ministry of Finance has finalized the negotiations for a second loan for development policies worth EUR 500 million. The loan is to be approved by the World Bank Board in December,” the ministry informs.
The announcement was made by Finance Minister Anca Dragu during the event organized on Tuesday by the World Bank, at the Cotroceni Palace, capital.ro reports.
“This loan is an acknowledgment of the reforms implemented since the beginning of the year in key areas – employment, health, corporate governance. And we want the partnership with the World Bank to continue in the same direction, the bank to support the reforms agenda, thus boosting the financial markets and investors’ confidence in the economy,” the Minister of Finance said.
