The extent of absorption of European funds is estimated at 65 percent currently, and by year-end will likely reach 70 percent, Marius Nica, Minister of European Funds in Deputy Chamber plenary on Monday, agerpres.ro informs.
“On the Sectoral Operational Programme Increase of Economic Competitiveness at the moment we have 76 percent absorption, Operational Programme Technical Assistance – 75 percent, SOP ENV – 57 percent, Regional Operational Programme (ROP) – 70 percent, the Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development – 58 percent, SOP Transport – 65 percent, Operational Programme Administrative Capacity Development – 90 percent,” Nica said, adding that these data will be sent to the European Commission for reimbursement.
He recalled that, as regards the 2014 – 2020 programming period, Romania has all operational programs approved.
European funds absorption rate was at 56.99 percent at end – September, on 2007-2013 financial framework, it said in a statistics published by the Ministry of European Funds (MFE).
Regarding the amount refunded, this amounts to EUR 10.05 billion, representing 52.74 percent within the overall allocation.
