The annual inflation rate, minus 0.4pc in October

The annual decrease in prices has tempered slightly in October 2016 to minus 0.4% against October 2015. In September, the inflation rate was of minus 0.6%, according to the data released on Friday by the National Statistics Institute (INS).

The share of goods and services registered a price decrease as compared to October 2015 is 39.6%, those which registered increases of 0 – 2.5% have a share of 49.4%, while the goods and services whose prices have risen by more than 2.5% have a share of 11%.

In contrast, the consumer prices increased in October against the previous month, on average by 0.43%.
