Chinese company TP-Link, known for producing routers, has announced its entry on the Romania smart phone market, launching two models with screen of 5 inches and of 5.5 inches. The company aims 1% of the local phone market ‘over the counter’ which this year will reach around 1.3 million units.
Neffos X1 has a 5-inch HD display and the X1 Max 5.5 inch Full HD, with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass screen. Neffos X1 and X1 Max use Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor and supports Wi-Fi dual band, a press release reports.
Both models feature a 13 MP main camera with Sony IMX258 sensor, aperture f/2.0, face-detection autofocus and dual LED flash. They include a front camera of 5MP.
Top configurations for each of the models include 3GB RAM and 32GB storage capacity for X1 and respectively 4GB RAM and 64GB storage capacity for X1 Max. The smart phones have microSD slot to expand storage capacity up to 128GB.
Recommended prices start from RON 899 for the X1 and configuration with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space, respectively RON 999 for the model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space. The higher-end version, X1 Max, will hit the stores by the end of this quarter, and will have a suggested retail price of RON 1,099 for the version with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space, respectively RON 1,399 for the version with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage capacity.
TP-Link was founded 21 years ago and has annual sales of over USD 2 billion. The company also entered the smart phone market, with presence in 20 countries.
