Unemployment rate down to 3.8% in February
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 3.8% in February 2019, down against 3.9% in the previous month, according to data released by the National Statistics Institute (INS) on Monday.
The number of unemployed (aged 15-74) estimated in February was of 350,000, down against the previous month (354,000 people) and against the same month last year (398,000 people).
By gender, men unemployment rate exceeded by 0.8 percentage points that of women (4.2% for men and 3.4% for women).
For adults (25-74 years), the unemployment rate was estimated at 3% in February 2019 (for men 3.4% and for women 2.4%).
The number of unemployed aged 25-74 represented 71.8% of the total number of unemployed estimated in February 2019.
