Owners of Volkswagen and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in Romania can check if their car is in the category of diesel engines equipped with emission test manipulation software, according to the announcement from Volkswagen Romania posted on its website.
“By using the search function will find out whether your vehicle requires a service action. For more information, please contact your Volkswagen dealer or the Volkswagen Customer Service. Please note that the system checks only the VIN code for Volkswagen and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brands. (…) Please enter your chassis series, which you can find at the beginning of the service book or on the windscreen bottom’, the website informs.
Volkswagen Romania states that the search function does not include any vehicle sold in the US or Canada.
