Nokian Tyres amplifies recruitment process in Oradea, as construction works progress

Almost 350 people will join the company in Romania in 2024.

Nokian Tyres starts to accelerate the recruitment for its new production unit in Oradea, Bihor County. There are almost 350 available positions for 2024, including managers and production workers. All of them will have the chance work in the world’s first zero CO2 emission tire factory, which is scheduled to produce the first tire in the second half of 2024. Candidates are invited to learn more about the job openings and submit their application online, on www.nokiantyres.ro/angajari-oradea/ , or in person, at the construction site located in 36 Ogorului Street, Oradea. In total, Nokian Tyres will employ in Oradea approx. 550 people.

Finland-based Nokian Tyres’ investment in Oradea amounts to EUR 650 million in an innovative, 4.0 Industry plant.

Susanna Tusa, General Director and Vice President of Nokian Tyres Romania Operations and lead of the Romania factory project: “The construction of our Oradea plant marks the beginning of a remarkable journey, and a strong team is essential in this regard. At the moment, there is a lot happening both on site and in our HR offices, as we plan to welcome over 500 good people to our team. To begin with, a Launch Team will be formed early next year, and trained during Spring at the Nokian Tyres headquarter in Nokia city, Finland

The Romania factory will become a part of the global Nokian Tyres manufacturing network together with the factories in the US and in Finland. The annual capacity of the factory will be 6 million tires with expansion potential in the future. The factory will concentrate on the production of larger rim size passenger car and SUV tires that will be primarily sold in the Central European market. The site will also house a distribution facility for storage and distribution of tires. The combined built-up area totals some 100,000 m2. The total investment of the greenfield factory is estimated to be approximately EUR 650 million, which is among the most valuable investments in Romania in the recent years.
