Nokian Tyres appoints General Director and Vice President of Nokian Tyres Romania Operations and lead of the Romania factory project

Susanna Tusa has been appointed General Director and Vice President of Nokian Tyres Romania Operations. She will also lead the Romania factory project. Nokian Tyres broke ground for the world’s first zero CO2 emission tire factory in the city of Oradea this spring. The factory is scheduled to produce the first tires in the second half of 2024, and commercial tire production is set to start in early 2025. The factory will employ some 550 people.

Susanna Tusa has had a long and versatile career with Nokian Tyres. Between 2008 and 2020 she acted as Group General Counsel, after which she was responsible for global supply chain purchases. From 2022, Susanna has been responsible for initiating the passenger car tire contract manufacturing including partner selection and handling the agreement negotiations. As the General Director of Romania operations and lead of the Romania factory project, from the beginning of September her responsibilities include establishing Nokian Tyres’ operations in Romania as well as leading the local management group and the factory building project. Susanna’s location will be Oradea, Romania.

Appointments in the Nokian Tyres Romania country management team

We are happy to announce the following appointment to the Nokian Tyres Romania country management team:

  • Plant Manager, Adorian Ioiart
    Adorian will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operations. He will ramp up the factory according to plan, achieving safety, quality, productivity, volume and cost targets. Adorian has a long experience in production facility management and ramp-ups. Adorian locates in Oradea, Romania.
  • HR Manager, Gabriela Pontos
    Gabriela’s responsibilities will encompass end-to-end HR processes such as local talent acquisition, managing rewarding topics, employee relations & development, and others. Gabriela joins Nokian Tires with extensive experience in various HR positions, most recently leading and organizing HR processes in a manufacturing facility in the metalworking industry.
  • Procurement Manager, Ciprian Vidican
    Before joining Nokian Tyres, Ciprian worked in a multinational company in the automotive industry as Head of Global Program Purchasing role. In the beginning Ciprian is supporting the Oradea Project with sourcing & purchasing activities and develop local Procurement governance together with local Management Team.

Recruiting some 550 specialist to the factory – want to join Nokian Tyres?

Nokian Tyres has started the recruitments in Oradea and in the surrounding Bihor County area. During 2023 recruitment will focus on white collar employees, recruitment for production staff will begin in the first half of 2024. The total headcount of the Romanian factory will be about 550 people.
