OMV Petrom Romania kicked off construction works of the largest petroleum installation in western Romania. The installation based in Arad, with the investment mounting to over EUR 18 million.

Arad mayor Gheorghe Falca says the EUR 18 M investment will turn Arad into a “hub” on railway, transports and logistics. “This means Arad will become a very attractive city for the industries based on fuel consumption,” said the Arad mayor.

The installation will be built near the city’s northern beltway, Cometei street, with the city hall announcing a public bid has been launched to build a connection between the street and the northern beltway. The city hall has allotted RON 7 million for this work, with February 5, 2018 being the deadline for submitting bids.
