One in four employers plan to recruit students in late 2018, study says

One in four employers want to recruit students during October-December this year, while over half of recruiters say that salary package is equal to the one offered to people who have studies completed, reads a BestJobs study.

At the opposite side, 22pc of the employers stated that one in five employees is student. Half of the the employers forecast that up to ten new positions will be available for students by the end of the year, while other 23pc will have from 10 to 10 new vacant positions for students.

Most of the jobs will be in the customer service sector (25%), logistics and production (16%), sales (10%), marketing and communication(8%), but also in more complex fields such as engineering (9%) and IT (9%)”, reads a press release.

On the other hand, the survey revealed that employers are not willing to offer flexible working hours to the job seekers who want to continue studies. Most of the employers want to recruit students for a full time job (62%) and only 19% of the companies offer part-time job or flexible hours.

At the same time, the findings point that the salary package is similar for students to the one offered to the employees who have their studies completed.

Most of the employers (44%) say the students’ salary demands range from RON 2,000 to RON 3,000 for a full-time job, with no previous expertise in the fiel required, while other 36% state that students are expecting salaries ranging from RON 1,000 to RON 2,000.
