PM Ponta – E.ON Group Board Management, strategic meeting

Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta met on October 6, 2014, at the Victoria Palace, the Chairman of the Board of Management of E.ON Group, Johannes Teyssen, the government’s press office informs. On this occasion, there were presented the E.ON development objectives activities in Romania, given that the company is a leading supplier of electricity and gas on the domestic market. There were detailed the E.ON concerns to ensure safe and quality services to consumers in Romania, as a contribution to strengthening country’s energy security in the current European and regional context.

“The Prime Minister took note of the German investor’s interest for enhanced presence on the energy market in Romania and the diversification of its activities. Also, Prime Minister Victor Ponta appreciated the E.ON leadership’s preoccupation to secure and create jobs in the energy sector and encouraged the improvement of services for final users, in terms that take into account the social and economic environment in Romania,” the statement reads.

The meeting was also attended by the Minister for Energy, Razvan Nicolescu and CEO of E.ON Romania, Frank Hajdinjak.
