Credit Value Investments (CVI), independent Polish private debt company, ended 2017, in the ‘opening year’ of CVI’s presence on the Romanian market, with 2 significant transactions closed on the domestic market, a press release informs.
“Romania is a serious destination for our investments, and we want to establish our leading position in this market, as a reliable partner of Romanian business,” Rafał Lis (photo), CIO at CVI stated.
In July 2017, Impact S.A., a company listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, issued 120 Series A bearer bonds with the nominal value of EUR 12 million. The offering was subscribed in its entirety by funds managed by CVI.
The second investment was executed in November 2017 with One United Properties, a real estate developer. During the private placement, funds managed by CVI has fully subscribed to bonds of a total value of EUR 20 million.
The Romanian market will play a meaningful role in the company’s investment strategy in 2018. FMCG, industry and real estate are among the sectors and branches that will be investment themes of CVI in Romania in 2018, Polish company’s officials pointed out.

CVI is a private debt manager, based in Warsaw, Poland. CVI begun its operations in 2011 and quickly became the leader in non-bank debt financing in Poland. Since 2012, CVI has closed over 700 corporate debt transactions (out of which 450 were in private debt) and invested over EUR 1.6 billion in CEE.
Throughout the year, the company has analysed over 1,000 investment proposals from the region and has successfully carried out investments in Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, Finland and the Baltics.
