Porsche Romania ended 2017 with record results for the post-crisis period.

The largest automotive importer on the local market registered a turnover of EUR 638 million, up 16 percent, while the total number of sold cars amounted to 31,569, 13 percent more than in 2016, a press release informs.

“2018 is a special year for Porsche Romania: we mark 20 years of activity on this market and we position ourselves to continue our sustained growth so far. We want to keep our leadership position in the top of car importers and exceed the threshold of 50,000 units sold annually, by 2025 at the latest,” Brent Valmar, General Manager Porsche Romania, stated.

In the 20 years of presence in Romania, the company delivered 455,055 units under Volkswagen, Audi, Seat or Skoda auto brands.

In terms of sold car models, three major trends will change the auto market: electric mobility, autonomous cars and connectivity, according to Kurt Leitner, General Manager Porsche Romania.

For 2018, Porsche Romania plans to deliver 500 electric vehicles and to continue installing the EV charging stations in its own network.
