After selling its under-development photovoltaic park in Ratesti, Arges to Econergy and Nofar Energy two years ago, Portland Trust has sold another solar park in development in Romania, namely the one in Corbii Mari, Dambovita County, profit.ro informs.
The park, with an authorized production capacity of 255 MW and an estimated total area of over 290 hectares, was also sold to the Israeli company Nofar Energy.
The Corbii Mari project was approved in 2023, and starting in 2024, it will inject 362 GWh of renewable energy into the power grid annually. This project will be able to provide energy for approximately 160,000 households and reduce the carbon footprint by over 200,000 tons.
Nofar Energy, a publicly traded company founded in 2011, launched its IPO on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in 2020, positioning it as the third-largest renewable energy company in Israel by market value.
Nofar Energy specializes in the development and operation of photovoltaic and wind energy production and storage facilities, with activities in Spain, Italy, Israel, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
