According to the latest study of the Employers’ Association of the Software and Services Industry (ANIS) conducted by Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC), the value of software and services revenues generated by the domestic market is around EUR 931 million, representing 35 percent of the sector’s turnover.
The public administration along with industry and banking are the segments that are generating the highest consumption: 30 percent, 17 percent and 14 percent respectively.
The biggest growth opportunities for 2015 are on services and consumer goods sectors (9.8 percent estimated growth) and the industry (8.1 percent). On the medium term, until 2018, the three sectors will continue to be the biggest buyers of technology, each of it recording an estimated increase of 10 percent.
“The main source of growth for the internal market of software and IT services is represented by the investments in technology from the private sector. It is the only chance to increase competitiveness of this segment, especially for SMEs, given that we expect the purchases of public administration to be in a slight decline this year,” Valerica Dragomir, Executive Director of ANIS.
The expected growth of turnover for 2015 generated by the software and IT services segment in the internal market is about 10 percent, according to ANIS estimates.
