Radisson and Monarc announce €75M investment in 5-star hotel

The Romanian coast will have a new 5-star hotel, with Radisson Hotel Group and Romania-based Monarc Properties set to complete the project, most likely, in 2028. The 75 million euro investment will be made in the development of the Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences in Mamaia, the largest and most attractive resort on the Romanian coast.

The investment will be financed 60% by bank loans, 30% by Monarc and the company’s partners’ funds, and a private financing round will be launched for 10%.

The project will have two towers and include a mix of 234 hotel rooms and 102 residences, and will address both Romanian tourists and local and foreign business people. The Radisson project in Mamaia includes 102 apartments, some of which will be sold to investors.

The Mamaia property will include a variety of rooms, from standard rooms to luxurious presidential suites, with an area of 350 square meters, including large terraces. The tower where the apartments will be located will offer units ranging from studios with an area of 37 m², to one, two and three-room apartments, to spacious four-room duplex apartments, up to 116 square meters.

The hotel will operate in a location on the shores of Lake Siutghiol and just a few steps from the sandy beaches of the Black Sea.
