Raiffeisen Bank granted a loan of 60 million euros to Ratesti Solar Plant

International law firm CMS has advised Raiffeisen Bank S.A. and Raiffeisen Bank International AG on the financing of Ratesti Solar Plant S.R.L, the largest new solar project developed in Romania to date.

With a capacity of 155MW, the project, owned by Econergy and Nofar Energy, was connected to the electricity grid at the end of November. CMS advised the lenders on all aspects of the financing transaction under Romanian and English law.

CMS’s multidisciplinary practice and our expertise on energy, real estate and financing matters have been invaluable for the successful closing of this financing”.

The multidisciplinary expert CMS team was coordinated by Ana Radnev and Diana Dona, and the team included Varinia Radu, Ramona Dulamea, Raluca Diaconescu, Edwina Udrescu and Mădălina Constantinescu (Energy); Roxana Fratila, Alexandru Trandafir and Bianca Bănățeanu (Real Estate); and Amalia Podoleanu and Florian Păcălici (Banking and Finance).
