Redport Capital announces the new Chief Financial Officer of the group

Redport Capital, founded in 2016 by Cosmin Savu-Cristescu and specialized in construction, investments, development, and real estate project management, announces the appointment of Oriol Casellas as Chief Financial Officer.

The appointment of Oriol Casellas as Chief Financial Officer of Redport Capital comes as a significant addition to the leadership team of the holding, strengthening expertise and internal resources dedicated to growth strategies and diversification of the investment portfolio. Oriol Casellas’s expertise and experience will be integrated with a well-defined strategic vision and a strong commitment to making significant contributions to the success of the holding.

Oriol Casellas holds both the position of Chief Financial Officer and member of the Board of Directors, with a significant role in defining and implementing the group’s strategy for the successful development of all current and future projects.

As a graduate of the MBA and management courses at ESADE in Barcelona, Oriol Casellas began his professional career in the banking sector in Belgium and then joined the real estate sector in Spain, where he contributed to the development of residential, retail, medical services, and leisure projects. In 2005, he entered the real estate market in Romania when he was appointed General Manager for Eastern Europe at the Spanish company Harmonia Grupo Immobiliario.

Highly appreciated for his active involvement in the development of the real estate market in Romania, Oriol Casellas has over 20 years of experience in the field, accumulated in leadership positions for financial and real estate projects both in Romania and Poland. Among his most recent positions held are those of CEO at Meta Estate Trust, between 2021-2023, during which the company invested in over 20 real estate projects in the country, as well as Development Manager at Veranda Mall, a position held from 2012 to 2021.

Redport Capital Group reaffirms its constant commitment to innovation, as evidenced by the results achieved in 2023. During past year, Redport Capital successfully delivered and fully sold Phase II of The Level Apartments project and transacted over 200 units across all group’s projects. The year 2024 marks a new stage, with construction set to start for Phase III of The Level Apartments project, as well as Infinity Nord, one of the largest urban regeneration projects in Bucharest, a true destination for the North of the Capital.
