Richard Browning, the pioneer of a new era of human flight, is coming to Romania for the first time at the 12th edition of GoTech World, the largest IT & Digital expo-conference in Central and Eastern Europe. The British inventor, who built the world’s first propulsion suit to test the limits of gravity, will present the technology behind the project and the practical applications in which it can be used, and will finally give a live demonstration for event participants.

Nicknamed the “Iron Man”, Richard Browning set out to reinvent the future of flight and contribute to a new stage of aeronautical innovation, becoming known worldwide for his impressive demonstrations of his powered suit, which attracted public and media attention. The creation can propel the pilot at around 40 mph for up to eight minutes and generate more than 1,000 horsepower using six jet-propelled jets that use jet fuel as a means of propulsion.

Gravity Industries, a company founded by Richard Browning in 2017, has become a benchmark in jet suit development and personal flight technology. Its suit, known as the “Daedalus”, has captured the imagination of people around the world and has been used in spectacular demonstrations to illustrate the potential of technological innovation in human mobility.

Through Gravity Industries, anyone who wants to can take part in a flight experience, and the more adventurous can sign up as members of an exclusive community of thrustersuit pilots. Costs start at $3,500/day and go up to $8,500/day, depending on the program chosen, and purchasing a suit requires a budget of $440,000. In the past five years, the company has conducted more than 150 flying events in 35 countries.

At the same time, Gravity aims to take the project to the next level, where the invention can be applied in various areas of social interest. For example, the suit could be used by paramedics to reach and stabilise people stuck at high altitudes.

„We are very excited to have Richard Browning at this year’s GoTech World and are sure he will impress and inspire the local and regional business professional community. He is a pioneer in the true sense of the word, whose technology is opening new horizons for the industry. The innovation he brings to the field of flight is truly impressive and his presence at our event will help us better understand the potential of technology in transforming the way we travel”, said Alexandru Măxineanu, Managing Partner, Universum Expo.

Browning will take to the main stage of GoTech World 2023 on the second day of the event, November 9, where he will talk about his project and the areas where this technology can be applied, his presence offering attendees a unique opportunity to connect with a creative mind and a leader in the development of flight technology. He will give an exciting presentation on technological innovation and its impact on the future of human mobility, and will then give a live demonstration at the event, dedicated especially to the attendees.

GoTech World returns to Bucharest for its 12th edition on 8 and 9 November at Romexpo, B1 Pavilion. The theme of this year’s event will be artificial intelligence, and in addition to the main innovations in the field, presented by international and local speakers, visitors can also discover the technological solutions of exhibiting companies.

Attendance at GoTech World 2023 is based on a ticket that can be purchased directly from www.gotech.world. Depending on the benefits a participant receives, there are three categories of tickets: Standard Pass EUR 179 + VAT, Content Pass EUR 319 + VAT, VIP Pass EUR 419 + VAT (late registration).
