Romanian-born Anastasia Soare, the owner of an empire in the cosmetics industry, also dubbed as the eyebrow queen of Beverly Hills, has ranked 21st in the 2019 Forbes Top of the richest entrepreneur ladies in the U.S. (America’s Self-Made Women 2019), boasting a fortune of USD 1.2 billion.

Make-up mogul Anastasia Soare has made a fortune shaping and filling the eyebrows of the rich and famous. Born in Romania, she immigrated to Los Angeles in 1989 and got a job in a beauty salon.  Three years later, she struck out on her own, and in 2000, she launched a line of eyebrow products under the name Anastasia Beverly Hills,” Forbes says.

Last year,  her company received an investment from private equity firm TPG that valued it at $3 billion and it currently sells more than 480 products in over 3,000 stores; revenues are estimated at more than $375 million.

In Romania, Anastasia Soare brand is franchised in four beauty salons that also sell Anastasia Beverly Hills products.

Born in Constanta, 61-year-old Anastasia Soare is outranking in the Forbes this year famous names such as Kylie Jenner (#23), with USD  1-bln fortune, or singers Rihanna (#37), USD 600 million or Madonna (# 39), USD 570 M, fashion designer Vera Wang (#45), USD 460 M, singers  Celine Dion (# 46), USD 450 de M, Beyonce (#51) – USD 400 M, as well as tennis player Serena Williams, coming on the 80th position this year, with a fortune of USD 225 M.

As a beautician, Soare has stated that her first two clients for an eyebrow treatment were Cindy Crawfort and Naomi Campbell. Other clients were Faye Dunaway and Jennifer Lopez.

As of January 2019, Anastasia Beverly Hills had the most popular Instagram page in the beauty industry, with 18.6 million followers.

In May 2018, Forbes estimated Soare’s net worth at USD 1 billion.
