A Romanian-born woman, software engineer Corina Pip, has been named QA & Automation Lead manager at Splend in May 2019. Splend is an Australian-founded ride-sharing company that has just relocated its HQ to London and opened a large support centre for the 90,000 drivers working in the UK’s capital, according to businesscloud.co.uk.
Corina Pip used to work, among others, at the Romanian subsidiaries of other foreign companies such as Betfair or Japanese IT company NTT DATA.
Corina Pip studied IT at the Technical University in Cluj-Napoca.
The Romanian-born software engineer is a senior test automation consultant, with focus on testing by means of Java, Selenium, TestNG, Spring, Maven, and other cool frameworks and tools. Her previous endeavors include working on navigation devices and in the online gaming industry. She loves automation and always tries to learn something new, improving her automation skills and spreading the knowledge to her peers. Apart from work, Corina is a testing blogger, an amateur photographer, and a GitHub contributor, according to a presentation Guild Conferences.
Splend has lured total funds of over USD 230 million is those four years of existence. In 2018, the car rental provider for ride sharing drivers raised USD 220 million in debt financing from the world’s largest fleet management business, on top of a USD 7.2 million cash injection.
