Technical Director of UPC Romania, young Ionut Voinea, 33, has been appointed VP Integration and Operations Central and Eastern Europe at Liberty Global, a press release informs.
Thus, as of this month, Voinea will conduct all technical operations of Liberty Global in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region, including Poland, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as DTH operators in these five countries.
He started his career in the Customer Care department in 2006 and held several management positions at UPC Romania, Hungary and the CEE. Voinea became its technical director in 2015, being responsible for all the network and clients operations, network development, technology, logistics, supply chain and support activities.
Earlier this year, he took on an expanded role, overseeing network development for UPC in the region.
Voinea graduated from the Faculty of Electronic and Telecommunications Faculty within Polytechnics University
