Managers from the manufacturing industry forecast a moderate growth of the production volume (balance +14 percent) for the next three months, according to the business tendency survey of May 2018, carried out by National Institute of Statistics (INS). For the manufacturing of beverages a significant growth trend will be registered (balance +47 percent), while the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations will register a decrease (balance ‐27 percent).
Regarding the number of employees, a relative stability is estimated, the balance being +4 percent per total manufacturing. For the prices of the industrial products, a moderate growth is forecast for the next three months (balance +10 percent).
According to May 2018 estimations, there will be a growth in the production volume of the construction activity for the next three months (balance +29 percent). Managers forecast a moderate growth in the number of employees (balance +9 percent). As to the prices of construction works, a growth is forecast (balance +18 percent).
In the retail trade sector, managers estimate a growth trend in the economic activity for the next three months (balance +25 percent). The volume of orders placed by the trade units to the suppliers of goods will grow (balance +21 percent). Employers forecast a relative stability in the number of employees (balance +5 percent) for the next three months. For the next period, managers of trade companies estimate a growth of the retail prices (balance +28 percent).
At the same time, the demand for services (turnover) will register a growth for the next three months (balance +17 percent). For the services sector it is forecast a moderate growth in the number of employees (balance +7 percent). According to the managers, the selling or invoice prices of provisions will register a moderate growth trend (balance +7 percent).
