Elena Petrascu, General Manager of the Romanian Post (CNPR), announced on Thursday her resignation, four months after appointment, a press release informs. As of today, she was appointed Secretary General at the Ministry of Transport, a decision already published in the Official Gazette.
”Starting October 2017, I accepted to take over the General Manager duties of the Romanian Post Company. From the very beginning, I specified that I would be in this position with the interim title. (…) If I had to choose two words to summarize what we have done together for the company, in these four months, they would be transparency and responsibility,” Petrascu stated.
According to her, the company is solvent and stable at the moment and the economic indicators are positive.
Debts to 15 partners have been extinguished on the cash-collection side. The company made payments of RON 580,386,142 in the last 4 months (not counting the pensions and salaries of the employees). All of these payments materialize in an exponentially less debt to the state budget: from RON 188,725,743 in October 2017 to RON 95,433,511 at present. Almost 50 percent of the company’s debt to ANAF is paid, and current taxes were fully paid, month by month.
The arrears that the Romanian Post has to pay on the cash-collection side, without the debt to the Telekom group, amount to RON 119,727, after the amount exceeded RON 34 million in October 2017.
