Tractorul Brasov U650 company, the former Tractorul UTB S.A. factory, which went bankrupt in 2007, has relaunched its production at Baicoi, Prahova County, under foreign patronage.

It’s about the Egyptian businessman Atef el Said el Kalaini, former partner of the famous plant in the communist period, who acquired the license of U650 model which he produced and sold in the last 5 years exclusively on the Egyptian market.

Next month, 10 new units will be delivered to the Arab State army, digi24.ro informs. The vehicles are manufactured in Baicoi, because the company has not found a production hall at the desired price in Brasov.

If the Egyptian military will appreciate the tractors produced at Baicoi, another 25 vehicles are going to be ordered each month.

In this case, the company will have to hire an additional 20 technicians.

In 2009 and 2010, the company in Brasov has also delivered 110 tractors to Egypt.

The tractor U650 model is equipped with diesel engine of 48,7 kW/ 65 HP gross power(ISO), a rated speed of 1800 rpm and a speed at max. torque of 1250 rpm. The wide use of the tractor is provided by the independent or synchronous PTO (POWER TAKE-OFF) of 540 rpm and the high-speed gearbox with sliding gears and reduction gear, as well as by the number of forward and reverse speeds – 10+2.
