Romania’s footwear exports – EUR 333m in Q1

Romania exported footwear worth EUR 332.9 million in the first quarter this year, by 8.4% less than the similar period in 2017, according to the National Statistics Institute (INS).

Footwear imports amounted to EUR 252.1 million, being by 3.1% higher than in the first three months of 2017, thus recording a surplus of EUR 80.8 million in this segment, capital.ro informs.

In Q1 2018, the FOB exports exceeded EUR 16.987 billion, up by 9.8% as compared to the same period last year. The CIF imports amounted to EUR 19.703 billion, up by 10.8%.
