Romania’s iron and steel exports reached EUR 746 M at end-April 2017

Romania has exported iron and steel worth EUR 746 million in the first four months of 2017, a value 34 percent higher than in the same period last year, National Institute of Statistics (INS) informs.

Iron and steel imports amounted to EUR 907.2 million, up by 17.5 percent than in January-April 2016, with a deficit of more than EUR 161 million on this segment.

In the first four months, FOB exports totaled EUR 20.234 billion and increased by 9 percent compared to the same period in 2016, while CIF imports amounted to EUR 23.597 billion and increased by 10.4 percent over the January-April 2016 period.
