Rulmenti Barlad expands to Germany

Romanian ball bearing maker Rulmenti Barlad, controlled by Turkish group Kombassan, will open a branch in Germany, in the Mannheim industrial center, near the Rhine, the second largest city in the Baden-Württemberg land, informs.

The company in Barlad wants to use the future workspace in Germany both for storage and for a more direct distribution of products to customers.

Over the past 11 years, Rulmenti Barlad has opened factories in Turkey (2006), Hungary (2007) and India (2012), under the URB brand, and sells through representatives on the markets of Germany, Italy, Belgium, France, Spain, USA, Argentina, Brazil , Egypt, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates.

Rulmenti Barlad has over 1,700 employees and is the largest private employer in Vaslui County. In 2015, the latest data submitted to the Ministry of Finance show that the company posted a net profit of RON 2.6 million and a turnover of RON 201.8 million.
