Michael O’Leary, CEO of Ryanair, the largest low-cost carrier in Europe, will come to Bucharest on Tuesday where he will hold a press conference.
He returns to Romania after more than 25 years since his last visit and, most likely, he will announce his expansion plans on the local market.
Late last year, in an interview for local media in Dublin, where the company has its headquarters, Ryanair’s CEO estimated a number of 10 million passengers in Romania in five years. He also said he wants to open 4 to 5 bases on the domestic market and to introduce flights from local 10-12 airports.
Currently, the largest low-cost carrier in Europe has no operational base in Romania.
