S IMMO has announced the official opening of the office building THE MARK, an investment of over 45 million euro.
Currently, the building has an occupancy rate of almost 100%. Among the tenants of the building there are tenants such as Infosys, Deloitte, Dentons, WPP, Starbucks, Esky Travel and The Mark restaurant / Rosan Group.
“We are very pleased to officially announce the opening of THE MARK office building. In fact, this is not just an office building, but a community. We have been looking to offer the best product in terms of both architecture and sustainability, as well as the experience of working and visiting THE MARK can offer”, said Friedrich Wachernig, member of S IMMO AG’s Management Board.
Located near Piața Victoriei/ Victoriei Square, THE MARK includes two office buildings and is designed as a 15-floors elegant tower, along with a 6-floors Podium. The gross leasable area is of almost 25,500 square meters with 300 parking spaces and 44 additional parking spaces in the outdoor area.
The artistic concept of the interior of the building THE MARK was signed by the nonconformist Italian artist, Aldo Giannotti. His site specific intervention ‘flight of steps’, consisting of drawings and performative activation, offered new ways to relate to the building. In this work he viewed the staircase as a metaphor for a lifetime, from young to old age and invited visitors to engage with this experience.
THE MARK project is created by one of the world’s most recognized architects, Chapman Taylor, and offers a new perspective of work and lifestyle to the business office market in Bucharest. This is a smart office building where state-of-the-art technology and art create both an efficient and comfortable workspace, as well as a unique experience. The building has a weather-sensitive facade that offers excellent visibility including during night.
In the first quarter of 2019, S IMMO AG reported an increase of 9.9% in revenues compared with the same period last year and amounted to EUR 47.8 million (Q1 2018: EUR 43.5 million). Regarding EBITDA, the results improved by 13.1% year-on-year and amounted to EUR 19.5 million (Q1 2018: EUR 17.3 million).
