Saatchi&Saatchi goes under Lion Communication umbrella

Saatchi&Saatchi communications brand would be consolidated in Romania under one legal entity, Lion Communication SA, the majority shareholder of which is Publicis Groupe. The transfer is effective starting January 1st 2015, a press release informs.
Lion Communication will include the group’s three brands: Publicis, Leo Burnett and Saatchi&Saatchi. After this move, the agency and team led by Radu Florescu will continue to operate as an independent entity, keeping its portfolio of clients.
This Publicis Groupe’s decision is part of an overall strategy to consolidate its brands under a single legal entity majority-owned by Publicis and to ensure integration and regional cooperation in the markets where the group is active.
Justin Billingsley, COO for Saatchi & Saatchi EMEA said: “We had a very good relationship with Centrade Saatchi & Saatchi and Radu Florescu. Our decision does not reflect in any way any dissatisfaction with agency performance (…). Publicis Group will continue its partnership with Florescu brothers for Zenith Media.”
