Ioana Moldovan, former Corporate Sales Manager at Medlife Romania, will be appointed as the new General Manager of SanoPass starting in October 2024 after Andrei Vasile steps out from his CEO role. As the founder of a start-up that managed to shift the paradigm in Romania’s MedTech market, Andrei has created a success story, both for his professional journey and for a market dominated by traditional solid players with sound development and innovation strategies.
Andrei Vasile has also actively participated in modifying the fiscal code so that fitness subscriptions are exempt from taxes and become deductible expenses. This initiative has helped an increasing number of employees in Romania access fitness and wellness services, significantly impacting the prevention of various medical conditions that Romanians face on a daily basis.
“SanoPass was my first start-up, launched in a particularly unpredictable time frame, shortly before the start of the COVID pandemic. I am proud to have contributed to creating an ecosystem that organically integrates medical prevention, wellness, and fitness services, all representing a holistic approach to the notion of health in Romania. I am confident that Ioana will bring a fresh perspective to our commitment to innovation and the integration of wellbeing and health services, while I will remain close to the company as Chairman of the Board of Directors”, claims Andrei Vasile.
Ioana Moldovan previously held a sales role within the Royal Bank of Scotland and several roles in MedLife, the last position held being that of Corporate Sales Manager of MedLife S.A. During this period, she successfully managed a strategic portfolio of clients, both B2C in the banking field and B2B in the field of medical services.
“My experience of over 12 years within MedLife, starting with the position of Account Manager and, subsequently, over the last five years, in the position of Corporate Sales Manager on the B2B private medical services market, in a dynamic and highly competitive context, represented the most significant professional challenge to date.
As the new General Manager of SanoPass, I aim to further develop the company by introducing new well-being services and reaching a significant market share of the Corporate B2B segment. My goal for SanoPass is to be able to respond to our customer’s needs and adapt to today’s demands. First and foremost, we desire to provide a pleasant experience for all who access our services. These will be the main directions that will guide my activity in the future. I am proud of the privilege of working with a dynamic team that will diversify and improve health and fitness services in Romania”, says Ioana Moldovan.
