Six Romanians are registered as having inactive bank accounts in Switzerland in the past 60 years, according to a list published by the Swiss Bankers Association on a website especially set up for informing potential heirs.

The list includes over 2,600 names, among whom there are also Romanian Adam Radu, Anastasiu Vasile, Chiriac Maciolla, Grozea Mihail and Raiciu Ion. For the sixth account having a Romanian keeper there is a number instead of name.

All the accounts are totaling almost CHF 44 M, meaning EUR 40 M, plus 80 storage lockers.

Potential heirs will be able to claim those accounts in a five-year time.

The list comprises the names of the account keepers that had more than CHF 500 (EUR 460). Other data refer to the date of birth, citizenship and the last domicile of the customer or the registered office of a company.

Switzerland also published lists of inactive bank accounts last year, but they were related to the Holocaust victims.
