Tel Drum wins new contract in Teleorman to upgrade school for RON 7.2 million

Tel Drum company has won another contract in Teleorman County, although it is insolvent: to upgrade a school in Zimnicea for RON 7.2 million.

The contract for ‘design and execution of works for upgrading and endowment of School no. 2, Zimincea city’ has been granted to Tel Drum by Zimnicea city hall, through the simplified procedure, ziare.com reports. The value of the contract: RON 7,260,833.45.

Tel Drum is insolvent and has been sued for frauds with European money. The National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) prosecutors have started an investigation charging the company of being controlled, through intermediaries, by PSD leader Liviu Dragnea.

Tel Drum is also charged with setting up an organized criminal group, tax evasion in continued form and complicity to two offenses of abuse of office. Upon the DNA request, the Bucharest Court has ruled to ban the dissolution or liquidation procedures for Tel Drum.
