Ten counties in Romania concentrate 65 percent of the total area of grape-bearing vines, zf.ro informs.

Constanta tops the counties by area grape-bearing vines, with 7,800 hectares, 4.5 percent of the total nationwide. Romania has about 180,000 hectares filled with grape-vine, of which only 28 percent is in commercial distribution and the difference leaves room to new producers. Some new names are testing the production in this area every year.

For exemple, Alirawine producer owns a field in Aliman, Constanta County, investing over EUR 8 million. The funds were channeled to land acquisition, planting 80 hectares of vineyard, purchasing equipment for vineyard maintenance a.s.o.
