The lowest and highest net salaries in sales in Romania

More than 12,000 jobs are currently available on eJobs.ro for candidates interested in working in sales. “It is the field with the most open positions for those who want to get hired, but also with quite large discrepancies between those in entry-level positions and management functions. However, career growth opportunities are one of the main arguments that applicants have, which is why, monthly, there are between 300,000 and 400,000 applications for Sales jobs”, explains Roxana Drăghici, Head of Sales at eJobs Romania.

4,200 lei is the average salary for this industry, but according to Salario data, only 30% of employees earn more than 4,000 lei per month. Thus, the salary distribution shows that over a third of sales employees have salaries between 2,000 and 3,000 lei, 20% between 3,000 and 4,000 lei, 22% between 4,000 and 7,000 lei. 18.2% earn between 1,386 and 2,000 lei, 5.9% between 7,000 and 10,000 lei and 2.1% over 10,000 lei.

The general and regional managers earn the most, for which values ​​of over 37,000 and 30,000 lei were recorded, respectively. “An important component of sales jobs is related to commissions, which, in many cases, even double or triple the basic salary. It is a very strong motivator for experienced employees, but also for candidates at the beginning of the journey“, says Roxana Drăghici.

Moreover, Sales also attract the largest number of applications on eJobs.ro every month. Of the 900,000 applications registered in August, more than 375,000 were for Sales jobs. Most candidates came from Bucharest, followed by those from Timișoara, Cluj-Napoca, Brașov, Iași and Constanța. About 40% of them are between 25 and 35 years old and 33% between 18 and 24 years old. The extremes apply the least – candidates younger than 18 and those in the 45+ category.

• Commercial assistant – 2,700 lei
• Visual merchandiser – 2,950 lei
• Warehouse storekeeper- 3,000 lei
