Transelectrica, Transgaz to cooperate with energy companies in Vietnam

Romanian natural gas transport company Transgaz and National Power Grid Company Transelectrica have signed in Vietnam memorandums of understanding for future collaboration in areas of bilateral interest, Ministry of Economy announced in a press release.

Representatives of the two companies were present in the official delegation led by Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos on July 11-14 in Vietnam.

Thus, Transelectrica and VietNam Electricity signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation and development of relations between Romania and Vietnam in electric power.

In turn, Transgaz and PVGASCITY JSC signed the Memorandum of Cooperation through which expressed their intention and commitment to jointly support mutually beneficial projects and to develop new directions of cooperation in the gas transport sector.

The signatory parties agreed to cooperate for a period of one year, based on a market study, but after identifying a set of measures on priority issues and defining their strategic vision.
