TransferGo, the international online money transfer company, accompanied the official delegation of Andrew Parmley, Lord Mayor of London, during his visit to Bucharest at end-June.
The official meetings took place in the context of London expanding its international presence in the financial services and consultancy industry.
“By supporting the delegation, TransferGo continues its strategy of consolidating its position as key player in the fintech market and to support Romanians living abroad,” the online money transfer company informs in a press release.
The visit of TransferGo alongside the Lord Mayor of London took place amid intensified business cooperation between London, one of the world’s major financial centers, and Bucharest.
Andrew Parmley, Lord Mayor, joined business leaders in a dialogue regarding a closer collaboration between the financial sectors in the UK and Romania. TransferGo also accompanied the delegation at the National Bank of Romania, where the subject was debated with central bank Governor, Mugur Isarescu.
”We had two days of productive meetings where we debated the opportunities that London offers to Eastern European companies and other companies. TransferGo, for instance, is an example of a Fintech business that enjoys the benefits this city offers”, Marius Nedelcu, Country Manager of TransferGo Romania stated.
The presence of the official delegation in Bucharest is meant to strengthen the link between Britain and Romania after Brexit, at a time when the uncertainty about the future of migrants and companies that have migrant employees is increasing.
TransferGo supports the Romanian community in the UK to adapt more easily following the effects of Brexit.
