Turkey’s Arçelik Group appointed Nihat Bayız as the new CEO of Arctic, home appliance market leader in Romania as of September 2016. Bayız is replacing Hasan Ali Yardimci, who was promoted within the group as President of Beko USA Inc, a press release informs on Tuesday.
Bayız has an experience of 22 years within the Turkish group, holding various leadership positions in R&D, product and factories management.
Before this current taking office, Bayız held the Product Management Director position for Arcelik Group since 2012, successfully managing the market launch of a wide range of products and top technologies that supported the global growth of Arçelik Group.
Bayiz holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering at Middle East Technical University.
On the other hand, during Yardimci tenure, Arctic’s market share has increased to a record level of 40 percent which has reflected in the revenue growth and the increasing profitability of the operations in Romania.
Also, during his mandate, Arctic has strengthened its position of exporting refrigerating appliances and announced a new investment project which has successfully applied for a state aid for building a large scale greenfield washing machine plant in Dambovita county.
