Turkish ETI to expand the biscuits plant in Craiova with a puffed grain line
ETI European Food Industries S.A., Romanian subsidiary of Eti Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., one of the leading confectionery producers in Turkey, will produce puffed grain products in Craiova, profit.ro informs.
For this, the Turkish investor will build a new production hall, near to the biscuit plant already announced, which will be launched this autumn.
The new construction will have a built area of 5,080 square meters. The new production line ‘Gong’ will produce different kinds of puffed cereal products with a maximum capacity of 1,722 tonnes per year.
The unit covers an area of 75,800 square meters, of which almost 18,500 square meters represent the factory.
Last year, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has provided a long term loan of up to EUR 23 million to ETI European Food Industries S.A.. The loan was to finance capital expenditures and working capital needs related to the construction of the green-field confectionery factory near Craiova. The total cost of the project is EUR 39 million.
