‘THR Marea Neagra’ (Black Sea) Company, which owns most of the hotel establishments in Romania, some left derelict for years, has sold the Alfa and Beta hotels in Saturn to ‘Alternative Green’ company, according to the THR Marea Neagra’ officials. The company is owned by two Chinese citizens, Feng Ye and Ye Qinfei, zf.ro reports.
“The hotels were out of function for a long time, only the skeleton of the building is there. They’ve bought the land, the price amounts to EUR 1million,” THR Marea Neagra head Mielu Dobrin said.
The two hotels, unrenovated and not functional, appearing as classified with one star, are just 400 meters from the Black Sea beach in Saturn resort.
THR Marea Neagra (Tourism, Hotels, Restaurants Marea Neagra – stock exchange symbol EFO) has a portfolio of 24 accommodation units, ranging from one star to four stars, and 20 food serving units. It owns hotels in Eforie Nord, Eforie Sud, Venus, Saturn and Neptun, totalling 7,984 beds. Many hotels are not renovated and are put on sale for years. The company also owns three aqua park sites and four treatment centres.
In 2015, the company’s turnover was of RON 34.18 million, by 15% higher than the previous year.
