Two new tenants in AFI Tech Park leasing additional 1,000 sqm

AFI Europe Romania signs two new lease agreements for AFI Tech Park, the new business park the company is currently developing in Bucharest. RTC Proffice Experience, important player in office stationery, leased approximately 650 sqm GLA in AFI Tech Park 1, and Ecovis Romania, a specialized international financial services company (with approx. 350 sqm), a press release informs.

The two companies became the fourth and fifth tenants of the business campus, after World Class gym (1,500 sqm), Quick Service Restaurant “1 Minute” (110 sqm) and gaming company Game World (2,000 sqm).

Currently, the already signed lease contracts and other pre-agreements for different surfaces in the building represent an occupancy rate close to 40 percent in AFI Tech Park 1 and advanced discussions are held with additional companies from IT&C, pharma and FMCG sectors. The delivery of the first office building, which offers 20,000 sqm GLA Class A office spaces and 2,000 sqm retail area, is estimated in May 2018 and will accommodate up to 3,000 employees.

“AFI Tech Park, our new business landmark in Bucharest, is attracting more companies that understood the opportunity of leasing spaces in a newly constructed class A office close to the City Center enjoying the benefits of relocating back inside the City as opposed to the peripheral locations which became un-attractive and understanding the needs of their employees regarding minimizing travel time to and back from work,” says David Hay, CEO AFI Europe Romania. 

AFI Tech Park comprises of two office buildings with 8 above ground floors and one office tower of 14 floors, totaling a gross leasable area of 56,000 sqm, all surrounded by over 5,000 sqm of green areas.

I started my way in life with the intention to pursue a teaching career. But, after graduating from the Faculty of Letters – the University of Bucharest in 2004, my first job as a reporter at one of the leading newspapers in Romania changed my perspective. I have specialized in communication and communication campaigns, following the Master's courses at the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies (FJSC), attending a BBC Communications scholarship.
I’ve represented several important publications in Romania as business journalist, being accredited in the finance and banking field. In 2015, I had the opportunity to interview the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission Chief for Romania, Andrea Schaechter. As business journalist, I also had the opportunity to interview ministers for Economics and Commercial
Affairs offices within different embassies in Romania or officials of large companies investing on the domestic market.
After almost 15 years of journalism, I still want to explore new ways, to inform and stay updated. That’s why The Romania Journal project fits me so well.
Today I describe myself as a passionate about the history of world culture, having a PhD in Hebrew Culture and Civilization, after a scholarship at the University of Haifa International School, as a language addict, an environmental activist, pet lover and traveler.
