Ness Software Engineering Services (SES), a global provider of end-to-end software product engineering services and consultancy, plans to hire 70 programmers for its Technology Innovation Center in Iasi, wall-street.ro informs. The unit, founded three years ago, will reach about 270 employees.
Ness SES’ Technology Innovation Center in northeastern Romania is the only the company owns here. Ness SES works with clients in areas such as education, financial services, healthcare, transportation and technology sectors.
Earlier this year, TiVo Inc., a global leader in next-generation television services, signed a partnership with Ness SES, extending the ability of the first to deliver next-generation television experiences by leveraging high quality, cost effective research and development (R&D) services.
“After an in-depth evaluation, we found Romania to be an exceptional location for our new Engineering Centre. Excellent universities in Romania will provide talented IT graduates and the political and macroeconomic conditions are favourable to businesses. Our continued growth as a global leader in the Pay TV market will be significantly enhanced by the access to the highly skilled engineering talent in Romania,” Dan Phillips, TiVo’s Chief Operating Officer and SVP of Engineering said at that moment.
