As of April 1, Robert Redeleanu, who is currently CEO of UPC Hungary and Romania, will be the new CEO of Liberty Global-owned UPC Poland, a press release informs.
Redeleanu has served as CEO of UPC Romania since 2013, taking responsibility for the Hungarian operation in addition in 2016. Before joining Liberty Global, he was marketing director of telecom company Telemobil. He had earlier worked for Uniliver and as CEO of Scandia Foods.
Broadband TV News notes that the change at UPC Polska comes at a critical time for what is Poland’s largest cable operator.
Redeleanu will be replaced in Romania by Mihnea Radulescu (photo), currently vice president for UPC CEE’s B2B operations, coordinating activities for the business division in Romania, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Radulescu began her career at Liberty Global in 2013 in Romania where he has developed and implemented a series of successful strategic projects as part of the local management team. Before joining the Liberty Global experience, Mihnea Radulescu has been part of the Roland Berger Strategy Consultants team in Romania for almost seven years
At end-2017, UPC Romania had 1.345 million customers, 3.8 percent more than December 2016.
