URB’s unit in India to be run by Romanian managers
Turkish Group URB owner of Rulmenti Barlad, will send a Romanian team to lead the bearing factory which is under construction in India. According to Esin Ugurtay, business development director of URB, the construction unit is expected to be completed by the end of next year, and the initial investment amounts to USD 10 million. The Turkish group has invested USD 125 million in Romania so far.
URB has other two bearing factories in Hungary and Turkey, but the domestic unit is the largest. “The plants in Romania, Hungary and Turkey have an aggregate turnover of USD 70 million. The URB’s factory in Barlad will have USD 56 million businesses this year,” said, Mustafa Tunca Dingiloglu CEO of Rulmenti Barlad.
Esin Ugurtay added that in the last three years over 200 manufacturers of bearings have gone bankrupt, worldwide, but the Barlad unit reorganized its activity and developed new products and made investments.
Rulmenti Barlad is a worldwide supplier of bearings and services in the rolling bearing business. The company is among the biggest producers of rolling bearings from South East of Europe and is known in the world market more than 60 years.
