US company, close to 10,000 ha of arable land exploited in Romania

An American investment company, Anholt Services, consolidates its position on the Romanian agriculture, a year after the first purchase locally. Thus, through its subsidiary Southern Harvest Partners, the fund took over two agribusiness companies from Botosani county – Multiagra and Agritotal – that owned farmland in the region, economica.net informs.

Overall, with these acquisitions, Anholt reached to exploit 9,280 hectare of land in Botosani County.

The transaction value was not disclosed, but it was noted that the U.S. investor took over the land already cultivated and is looking for new plots.
