The Romanian Leu has slightly depreciated against the main currencies after today’s speech of President Iohannis in which he called for Prime Minister Viorica Dancila’s resignation.

National Bank of Romania (BNR) on Friday has announced an exchange rate of RON 4.6618/EUR, up by 0.28 percent and RON 3.8596/USD, up by 1.14 percent.

However, the single currency climbed again the RON 4.66 threshold, today’s quotation being the highest in April. A higher EUR/RON exchange rate was recorded on March 23, when the European currency was quoted at RON 4,6656.
